CitiQuiet recently acquired the NYC rights to this incredible new glass technology that takes sound elimination and energy efficiency to the next level. So what exactly is VIG? This glass unit consists of two lites of glass separated by a non-leaded proprietary metal seal and vacuum space, according to VitroGlazings. Essentially this solution eliminates the gas traditionally found between the glass panes of windows which produces a vacuum space that makes the window more efficient in terms of energy, sound reduction, and more. This glass integrates with any traditional glazing system to make the insulation performance better than ever before. In fact, this glass is comparable to a traditional wall in terms of insulation value.
